Léa Manoussakis di-Bona is a French-Greek artist based in Munich. Her practice moves between sound, text, sculpture, and site-specific installation, investigating how voice and acoustic structures shape spatial perception and social relations. She is particularly interested in processes of translation — how linguistic, performative, or visual forms can be reconfigured through sound and experienced as spatial phenomena.

Working in installative and collaborative contexts, she approaches sound as a material that reorganizes architectural situations and conditions of attention. Repetition, fragmentation, and relational listening function as recurring strategies, generating dynamic constellations between bodies, space, and collective perception.

Parallel to her installation practice, she develops DJ sets and radio-based formats under the moniker Veronika USA, recontextualizing historical and contemporary sonic material in live, time-based environments. This performative dimension extends her spatial work into more immediate and embodied modes of listening.

Her work has been presented at institutions including Lenbachhaus Munich, Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin, Portikus Frankfurt, Floating University Berlin, Focal Point Gallery (UK), Kunstraum Niederösterreich, and Künstlerhaus Vienna. She studied in the Sound X Experiment class of Florian Hecker and completed her Meisterschüler with Prof. Gerry Bibby at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (AdBK). She is a member of DAF (Dynamisch Akustische Forschung).

Léa Manoussakis di-Bona ist eine französisch-griechische Künstlerin mit Wohn- und Arbeitsschwerpunkt in München. Ihre Praxis bewegt sich zwischen Klang, Text, Skulptur und ortsspezifischer Installation. Sie untersucht, wie Stimme und akustische Strukturen räumliche Wahrnehmung prägen und wie sprachliche, performative oder visuelle Formen in Klang und räumliche Konstellationen überführt werden können.

In installativen und kollaborativen Kontexten versteht sie Sound als eigenständiges Material, das architektonische Situationen verschiebt und Aufmerksamkeit neu organisiert. Wiederholung, Fragmentierung und relationale Hörsituationen fungieren dabei als kompositorische Strategien, durch die Resonanz als Dynamik zwischen Körper, Raum und sozialer Interaktion erfahrbar wird.

Parallel dazu entwickelt sie unter dem Moniker Veronika USA DJ-Sets und radiobasierte Formate, in denen historische und zeitgenössische Klangmaterialien neu kontextualisiert werden. Diese performative Praxis erweitert ihre installativen Arbeiten um eine unmittelbare, zeitbasierte Dimension des Hörens.

Ihre Arbeiten wurden unter anderem im Lenbachhaus München, im Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin, im Portikus Frankfurt, an der Floating University Berlin, in der Focal Point Gallery (UK), im Kunstraum Niederösterreich sowie im Künstlerhaus Wien gezeigt. Sie studierte in der Klasse Sound X Experiment von Florian Hecker und bei Prof. Gerry Bibby als Meisterschülerin an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste München (AdBK). Sie ist Mitglied der DAF (Dynamisch Akustische Forschung).
